Janet De Nardis
Janet De Nardis (Windsor, February 15th, 1978) is an Italian journalist, television author, anchorwoman and actress. She worked for Rai, Sky, Class News and Class CNBC, signing some television programmes.
She graduated in Architecture and is a web, art and fashion expert. After a fertile experience in the fashion world, which brought her on the international runways, she began her career in the show business as a singer in the girl band Finger Prints. Together with them she recorded the song When I Fall in Love in 2001, and sang it for the World Cup in Sendai, Japan, in 2002.
In the same year, she had her television debut on Sky, and on September 21st, 2003 she became a “Signorina buonasera” for the channel Rai 2. From that moment on, she presented many TV programmes and signed some of them. She was the protagonist of many commercials; after some years studying with Beatrice Bracco, Michael Margotta and Francesca De Sapio, she began to work in theatre and, later, in cinema and TV in successful series.
In 2011 she conduced “Tg del Parlamento Europeo” for Class News and Class CNBC. This is the moment in which she became fond with web series and viral products, curating conferences and reportages on the argument. She was counsellor for the Palomar SPA for what concernes web products. She was coordinator and instructor of a lab dedicated to web native products at the Sapienza University of Rome; moreover, she taught audio-visual techniques and languages of our age applied to the realization of web native audio-visual products at the Università Salesiana and the GiffoniAcademy.
She wrote for Tvzap by Repubblica.it in a section dedicated to web series, and even about fashion on Fashion News Magazine. She presented the programme “Light News – cinema e web a confronto” for Cinecittà Luce.
Since 2012 she is Art Director of the Roma Web Fest, as well as its creator and founder. In 2014 she was a jury member of the Marseille Web Fest, while in 2015 she will be a jury member in IAWTV.
